AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 1209

    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 1209, by replacing

everything after the enacting clause with the following:

    "Section 5. Upon the payment of the sum of $7,033,333, 
5
based on the average of 3 certified appraisals, to the 
6
University of Illinois, the Board of Trustees of the University 
7
of Illinois is authorized to convey by quitclaim deed all 
8
rights, title, and interest in and to the following described 
9
land in Cook County, Illinois, to the Chicago Park District:

    LOTS 1 TO 8 IN SPRY'S SUBDIVISION OF LOTS 11, 12 AND 13 OF

EAST 1/2 OF THE NORTHEAST 1/4 OF SECTION 17, TOWNSHIP 39 NORTH,

RANGE 14 EAST OF THE THIRD PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN, IN COOK COUNTY,

    Section 10. The Board of Trustees of the University of

Illinois shall obtain a certified copy of this Act within 60 
3
days after this Act's effective date and, upon receipt of the 
4
payment required by Section 5 of this Act, shall record the 
5
certified document in the Recorder's Office of Cook County, 
6
Illinois.

    Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon 
8
becoming law.".
