<reference>225 ILCS 65/5-1</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><SynopsisText>Amends the Nursing and Advanced Practice Nursing Act. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the short title.</SynopsisText><synopsistitle>Senate Floor Amendment No. 2</synopsistitle>
<reftype>Deletes reference to:</reftype><reference>225 ILCS 70/1</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><reftype>Adds reference to:</reftype><reference>New Act</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><SynopsisText>Replaces the title and everything after the enacting clause. Creates the Nursing and Hospital Worker Protection Act. Provides that each hospital shall develop and implement a written organizational plan of nursing services. Provides guidelines for the plan. Provides for meals and rest periods for certain hospital workers. Provides for disciplinary action on the license of a hospital for a substantial failure to comply with the Act. Provides for fines against health systems for violations of wage and hour laws or regulations. Provides for the allocation of fine moneys to the Department of Public Health for nursing scholarships pursuant to the Nursing Education Scholarship Law. Effective immediately.</SynopsisText></synopsis>
