Creates the Medassist Board to award grants to organizations for the purpose of assisting individuals in accessing free and discounted prescription programs; to explore, develop, and implement innovative strategies for managing the rising costs of prescription medications and for increasing access to prescription medications; and to compile data and information regarding the cost of prescription medications and related matters. Contains provisions concerning the membership, powers, and duties of the Board.
