<reference>New Act</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><reference>225 ILCS 60/22</reference><aliasreference>from Ch. 111, par. 4400-22</aliasreference><reference>225 ILCS 60/23</reference><aliasreference>from Ch. 111, par. 4400-23</aliasreference><SynopsisText>Creates the Woman's Right to Know Act and amends the Medical Practice Act of 1987. Provides that an abortion shall not be performed or induced unless the woman has given her voluntary and informed consent, and states guidelines for determining whether a woman's consent is voluntary and informed. Requires the Department of Public Health to publish materials concerning certain prenatal services. Requires a physician to inform a woman of the existence of a medical emergency that necessitates an immediate abortion to avert her death or serious injury. Effective 90 days after becoming law.</SynopsisText></synopsis>
