<synopsistitle></synopsistitle>
<reference>20 ILCS 2310/2310-306 new</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><SynopsisText>Amends the Department of Public Health Powers and Duties Law of the Civil Administration Code of Illinois. Requires the Department of Public Health, in conjunction with the State Board of Education, to conduct a sugar consumption study to determine the effects of sugar as it relates to the health of school children and to examine the impact of easy access to candy and soda machines in schools. Provides that the Department of Public Health must promulgate the rules necessary to implement the study. Provides that the Department of Public Health shall report its findings to the Governor and the General Assembly on or before January 1, 2004.
