<reference>725 ILCS 105/10</reference><aliasreference>from Ch. 38, par. 208-10</aliasreference><SynopsisText>Amends the State Appellate Defender Act. Provides that the State Appellate Defender may hire investigators to provide investigative services to appointed counsel and county public defenders. Provides that the investigators shall be considered peace officers while in the exercise of their official duties during the actual investigation of a case but may not serve and execute civil process. Requires that the State Appellate Defender authorize for each investigator a distinct badge. Effective immediately.</SynopsisText></synopsis>
