<synopsistitle></synopsistitle>
<reference>725 ILCS 5/115-21 new</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><SynopsisText>Amends the Code of Criminal Procedure of 1963. Provides that in any case involving an offense in which the prosecution attempts to introduce evidence of incriminating statements made by the accused to an informant, the prosecution must timely disclose certain information during discovery. Provides that the prosecution must show by clear and convincing evidence that the informant's testimony is reliable before the court allows the testimony at trial. Provides that the provisions do not apply to statements that are lawfully recorded. Applies to all actions initiated on or after the effective date of the amendatory Act.</SynopsisText></synopsis>
