<reference>225 ILCS 60/22</reference><aliasreference>from Ch. 111, par. 4400-22</aliasreference><reference>720 ILCS 5/46-1</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><reference>720 ILCS 5/46-6 new</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><SynopsisText>Amends the Medical Practice Act of 1987. Requires the Department of Professional Regulation to suspend the license of a physician who has not paid restitution to the insurer or self-insured entity, or any other person for any financial loss sustained as a result of insurance fraud committed by the physician, including any court costs and attorney fees. Amends the Criminal Code of 1961. Requires a person convicted of insurance fraud to pay monetary restitution to the insurer or self-insured entity, or any other person for any financial loss sustained as a result of the violation. Provides that an order of restitution shall also include expenses incurred and paid by an insurer in connection with any medical evaluation or treatment services. Provides that State licensing agencies, the Office of the Attorney General, and the Department of Insurance shall coordinate enforcement efforts relating to acts of insurance fraud.</SynopsisText></synopsis>
