Eliminates from the definition Section that "convicted" shall have the same meaning as "adjudicated". Provides that a sex offender or sexual predator must include in his or her registration an institution of higher education attended or in which he or she is employed and must register with the appropriate municipal police department or county sheriff. Provides that reconfinement due to a violation of parole or other circumstances that relates to the original conviction or adjudication shall extend the period of registration to 10 years after final parole, discharge, or release. Provides that 50% of the moneys in the Sex Offender Registration Fund shall be allocated to the Illinois State Police Sex Offender Registration Unit for education and administration of the Act. Amends the Sex Offender and Child Murderer Community Notification Law. Deletes provision that the Department of State Police may limit access to the sex offender information to information about sex offenders who reside within a specified geographic area in proximity to the address of the person seeking that information. Provides that the Department of State Police, Sex Offender Registration Unit, must develop and conduct training to educate all those entities involved in the Sex Offender Registration Program.
