<synopsistitle></synopsistitle>
<reference>625 ILCS 5/6-117.1 new</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><SynopsisText>     Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code. Provides that the Secretary of State and the Department of State Police shall jointly develop policies and procedures to capture and encode fingerprint information on driver's licenses and identification cards issued by the Secretary. Provides that the Secretary and the Department shall submit a report to the Governor and the General Assembly not later than April 1, 2005 on the proposed policies, procedures, costs of implementation, and any recommended changes to rules and statutes. Provides that the Secretary shall implement procedures to capture and encode fingerprint information on all Illinois residents who wish to have that information on their driver's licenses and identification cards issued on or after January 1, 2007.</SynopsisText></synopsis>
