<reference>20 ILCS 1705/4.4 new</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><SynopsisText>     Amends the Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities Administrative Act. Requires the Department of Human Services to collect and publish certain data from inpatient mental health facilities. Requires certain information to be collected and authorizes the Department to specify by rule additional data to be collected. Imposes a fine (maximum of $1,000) against any mental health facility that fails to provide the required information. Provides that a facility that fails to comply with the requirements of the Section shall not receive any funds through the Department. <SynopsisText>Deletes everything. Amends the Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities Administrative Act. Requires the Department of Human Services to collect and publish certain data from inpatient mental health facilities. Requires certain information to be collected. Authorizes the Department to collect and disseminate the data electronically if the Department provides technical assistance to mental health facilities. Requires the Department to consult with other State departments and agencies to determine the extent to which the data to be collected is already collected by those departments and agencies and requires any State department or agency that is collecting such data to provide it to the Department. Prohibits the Department from requiring any facility to provide such data directly to the Department. Authorizes the Department to use certain data collected pursuant to the Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities Confidentiality Act for the purposes of the amendatory Act. Authorizes the Department to form a work group with the Department of Public Health, the Department of Public Aid, and representatives of mental health facilities to ensure coordination and cooperation. <SynopsisText>Provides that the purpose of the collection and publication of certain data concerning mental health facilities by the Department of Human Services is to determine the nature, magnitude, and consequences to persons with mental illness of future decisions related to the funding of public and private mental health facilities (rather than to determine the nature, magnitude, and consequences to persons with mental illness of the closure and downsizing of State-operated mental health facilities and the reduction of resources provided to private mental health facilities).</SynopsisText><synopsistitle>Governor Amendatory Veto Message</synopsistitle>
<SynopsisText>Recommends that the responsibilities of the Department of Human Services to collect and publish data and to perform other functions concerning mental health facility data collection be subject to the availability of funds appropriated for that purpose. </SynopsisText></synopsis>
