<synopsistitle></synopsistitle>
<reference>820 ILCS 105/4</reference><aliasreference>from Ch. 48, par. 1004</aliasreference><SynopsisText>     Amends the Minimum Wage Law. Provides that, if an Illinois employer reasonably demonstrates that its manufactured goods are in competition with foreign goods that are manufactured in violation of United States foreign trade law, the minimum hourly wage under the Minimum Wage Law does not apply and the employer shall instead pay at least the federal minimum hourly wage. Provides that, if an Illinois manufacturer has a manufacturing facility in another state and the minimum hourly wage in that state is lower than the minimum hourly wage under the Minimum Wage Law, the minimum hourly wage under the Minimum Wage Law does not apply and the manufacturer shall instead pay at least the federal minimum hourly wage. Provides that the Department of Labor shall adopt rules to implement the new provisions. Effective immediately.</SynopsisText></synopsis>
