<reference>815 ILCS 505/2MM new</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><SynopsisText>     Amends the Consumer Fraud and Deceptive Business Practices Act. Makes subject to the requirements of the Act companies that market electricity, natural gas, telecommunications, or cable television services to retail consumers, regardless of whether those companies have rates filed with any federal, State, or local commission. Eliminates the filed rate doctrine as a defense to any action brought under the Act. Effective immediately.</SynopsisText></synopsis>
