<reference>210 ILCS 50/3.21 new</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><SynopsisText>     Amends the Emergency Medical Services Systems Act. Provides that in awarding funds to support disaster preparedness by first responders, the Illinois Department of Public Health and other State agencies shall take into account the role of hospitals in being prepared to respond to emergencies or disasters. Contains legislative findings regarding the role of hospitals as first responders. Effective immediately.</SynopsisText><synopsistitle>Fiscal Note (Illinois Emergency Management Agency)</synopsistitle>
<SynopsisText>A state disaster declaration proclamation by the Governor makes state resources available to provide emergency or disaster assistance.  These resources may be in the form of State agency services or financial assistance from State disaster relief appropriations. </SynopsisText></synopsis>
