Provides that an elected or appointed coroner may elect to participate in the Fund as a sheriff's law enforcement employee (SLEP). Allows conversion of prior service. Amends the State Mandates Act to require implementation without reimbursement. Effective immediately.</SynopsisText><synopsistitle>Pension Note (Pension Laws Commission)</synopsistitle>
<SynopsisText>The fiscal impact of HB 2466 cannot be determined, as the number of elected or appointed coroners who would elect to be covered by the SLEP formula is unknown.  Including additional employees under the SLEP formula would increase IMRF costs for their employers.</SynopsisText></synopsis>
