Contains provisions similar to those in the federal Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993, except that it applies to employers with 25 or more (instead of 50 or more) employees and some of the provisions of the Federal law pertaining to federal employees and federal matters have been deleted or changed. Effective 6 months after becoming law.</SynopsisText></synopsis>
