<reference>725 ILCS 5/108-1.5 new</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><SynopsisText>     Amends the Code of Criminal Procedure of 1963. Provides that a peace officer may request consent to search a motor vehicle or a person in a motor vehicle only if the peace officer can articulate a reasonable suspicion that a search would reveal evidence of a crime. Provides that the driver of the motor vehicle or other person authorized to give consent must consent in writing to the search before the search proceeds.</SynopsisText></synopsis>
