<reference>40 ILCS 5/2-110</reference><aliasreference>from Ch. 108 1/2, par. 2-110</aliasreference><SynopsisText>     Amends the General Assembly Article of the Illinois Pension Code. Allows former members who have not yet begun receiving a retirement annuity to establish credit for up to 2 years of prior military service. Extends to July 1, 2004 the period during which that credit may be established without payment of amounts representing employer contributions. Effective immediately.</SynopsisText><synopsistitle>Pension Note (Pension Laws Commission)</synopsistitle>
<SynopsisText>The fiscal impact of HB 1362 cannot be calculated, as the amount of military service credit that would be established during the window is unknown.  There would be a fiscal impact, as the employer contribution is waived if the military service is established prior to July 1, 2004.</SynopsisText></synopsis>
