<reference>New Act</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><reference>5 ILCS 80/4.24</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><reference>30 ILCS 105/5.595 new</reference><aliasreference></aliasreference><SynopsisText>     Creates the Electrician Licensing Act. Provides for regulation of electricians and electrical contractors. Establishes civil penalties for violations of the Act. Provides that performing unlicensed electrical work, when a license is required by this Act, constitutes a business offense for the first violation and a Class A misdemeanor for a second or subsequent violation. Provides for concurrent exercise by home rule units. Amends the Regulatory Sunset Act to repeal this Act January 1, 2014. Effective January 1, 2004.</SynopsisText></synopsis>
