<reference>35 ILCS 5/204</reference><aliasreference>from Ch. 120, par. 2-204</aliasreference><SynopsisText>     Amends the Illinois Income Tax Act. Provides that, for taxable years ending on or after December 31, 2003, an individual taxpayer is allowed an exemption amount equal to twice the basic amount for non-spouse dependents.</SynopsisText><synopsistitle>Fiscal Note (Illinois Department of Revenue)</synopsistitle>
<SynopsisText>The Department estimates that this legislation could decrease the State's revenues by $210 million per year.  There would also be some cost to the Department for revising forms, instructions and procedures and to train employees. </SynopsisText></synopsis>
