<reference>40 ILCS 5/14-104</reference><aliasreference>from Ch. 108 1/2, par. 14-104</aliasreference><SynopsisText>     Amends the State Employees Article of the Illinois Pension Code. Provides that an employee can establish service credit for a period of up to 8 years during which he or she was employed by the Visually Handicapped Managers of Illinois in a vending program operated under a contractual agreement with the Department of Rehabilitation Services. Effective immediately.</SynopsisText><synopsistitle>Pension Note (Pension Laws Commission)</synopsistitle>
<SynopsisText>The fiscal impact of HB 124 is expected to be small as few employees would be eligible to purchase service credit.  In addition, the draft requires the member to make the employee and employer contributions (normal cost), plus interest.</SynopsisText></synopsis>
