SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of Harendrasinh Pratapsinh Mangrola of
4Skokie, who passed away on May 23, 2026; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Harendrasinh Pratapsinh Mangrola was born in
6Kanbhi, Gujarat, India on June 24, 1963; he immigrated to the
7United States in 1986; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Harendrasinh Pratapsinh Mangrola earned a Master
9of Arts in Commerce from Gujarat University, also known as
10NavGujarat College, in Gujarat, India, and he pursued further
11coursework at Northeastern Illinois University; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Harendrasinh Pratapsinh Mangrola dedicated his
13career as an executive in the construction industry,
14advocating tirelessly for the fair treatment of minority
15contractors in government and expanding their access to
16resources; after joining Sumit Construction in 1986, he
17quickly rose to the rank of vice president, where he helped
18rebuild infrastructure across many Chicago neighborhoods; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Harendrasinh Pratapsinh Mangrola gave selflessly
20to his community through service in countless organizations,
21including as one of the founding members of the Gayatri

1Parivar of North America, helping establish centers, including
2the Gayatri Gyan Mandir in Chicago, as president of the
3Indo-American Democratic Organization, and as past president
4of Vishwa Hindu Parishad America (VHPA); he also financed the
5education of countless children in India and helped young
6people throughout Illinois find meaningful employment; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Harendrasinh Pratapsinh Mangrola leaves behind a
8legacy of his selflessness, his warm spirit, his
9solution-oriented approach, and his deep desire to help people
10grow and succeed; above all, he will be remembered for his
11radiant smile that lit up every room he entered and the
12boundless positive energy he shared with all who knew him; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Harendrasinh Pratapsinh Mangrola is survived by
14his wife, Vandana; his children, Krupa and Parth; his
15daughter-in-law, Priyal; and two grandchildren; therefore, be
16it
 
17    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL
18ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
19Harendrasinh Pratapsinh Mangrola and extend our sincere
20condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved
21him; and be it further
