HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to congratulate the Morrison High School 
4boys track and field team, the Mustangs, on winning the 
52025-2026 Illinois High School Association (IHSA) Class 1A 
6State Championship; and
 
7    WHEREAS, The Mustangs' record-breaking 4x200-meter relay 
8team included members Brady Anderson, Josh McDearmon, Levi 
9Milder, and Kolyin Swaim, and these exemplary athletes also 
10achieved first place in the 4x100-meter relay; and
 
11    WHEREAS, The Mustangs' 4x200-meter relay team met further 
12success in individual events, with Brady Anderson being named 
13state champion in the 200-meter and 100-meter races, Josh 
14McDearmon achieving fifth place in the 110-meter hurdles, and 
15Levi Milder attaining fifth place in the 100-meter race; and
 
16    WHEREAS, The Mustangs' 2025-2026 roster also included 
17Corbin Allen, Xavier Baldwin, Kolten Eads, Ethan Farrands, 
18Brevin Houzenga, Leland Kramer, Bryan Kuehl, Maximus North, 
19Waylong Phelps, Charles Prius, Noah Stout, Evan White, and 
20Jaxon Yaklich; together, these athletes formed an integral 
21foundation for the team's successful season; and

1    WHEREAS, The Mustangs were led by Head Coach Kevin Kilker 
2in his final year at Morrison High School and Assistant 
3Coaches Jason McDearmon and Koby Brackemeyer; and
 
4    WHEREAS, The Mustangs' success was the product of its 
5members' concentration, dedication, and unwavering faith in 
6themselves and each other; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
8HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that 
9we congratulate the Morrison High School boys track and field 
10team, the Mustangs, on winning the 2025-2026 Illinois High 
11School Association (IHSA) Class 1A State Championship, and we 
12wish its members future success in their athletic and academic 
13pursuits; and be it further
 
14    RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be 
15presented to the coaches and members of the Morrison High 
16School boys track and field team as a symbol of our respect and 
17esteem.
