| 1 | AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 3571 | ||||||
| 2 | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 3571 by replacing | ||||||
| 3 | everything after the enacting clause with the following: | ||||||
| 4 | "Section 5. The School Code is amended by adding Sections | ||||||
| 5 | 10-20.87 and 34-18.85 as follows: | ||||||
| 6 | (105 ILCS 5/10-20.87 new) | ||||||
| 7 | Sec. 10-20.87. Automated external defibrillator; | ||||||
| 8 | attendance centers and extracurricular activities. | ||||||
| 9 | (a) As used in this Section, "automated external | ||||||
| 10 | defibrillator" has the meaning provided in the Automated | ||||||
| 11 | External Defibrillator Act. | ||||||
| 12 | (b) A school district shall require all attendance centers | ||||||
| 13 | to have present during the school day and during a | ||||||
| 14 | school-sponsored extracurricular activity on school grounds at | ||||||
| 15 | least one automated external defibrillator. | ||||||
| 16 | (c) An automated external defibrillator installed and | ||||||

| 1 | maintained in accordance with the Physical Fitness Facility | ||||||
| 2 | Medical Emergency Preparedness Act may be used to satisfy the | ||||||
| 3 | requirements of this Section. | ||||||
