| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The State Designations Act is amended by adding |
| 5 | | Section 56.3 as follows:

| 7 | | Sec. 56.3. Official State mushroom. The mushroom calvatia |
| 8 | | gigantea, commonly known as the "giant puffball", is |
| 9 | | designated the official State mushroom of the State of |
| 10 | | Illinois.

| 11 | | Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
| 12 | | becoming law. |
