| 2 | | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 2666 on page 5, |
| 3 | | immediately below line 1, by inserting the following: |
| 4 | | "(h) An employer may deny a request for leave under this |
| 5 | | Section if granting the request would, at an independent |
| 6 | | living facility, assisted living facility, nursing home |
| 7 | | facility, or other similar congregate care facility or at a |
| 8 | | facility providing 24/7 care, reduce staffing levels to below |
| 9 | | the established minimum or impair the safe and efficient |
| 10 | | operations of the facility. An employer shall not deny leave |
| 11 | | under this subsection if doing so violates the terms of an |
| 12 | | applicable collective bargaining agreement.". |
