| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The Clinical Psychologist Licensing Act is |
| 5 | | amended by changing Section 1 as follows:

| 6 | | (225 ILCS 15/1) (from Ch. 111, par. 5351)

The
The practice of clinical psychology in |
| 9 | | Illinois is hereby
declared to affect the public health, |
| 10 | | safety and welfare, and to be subject
to regulations in the |
| 11 | | public interest to protect the public from
persons who are |
| 12 | | unauthorized or unqualified to represent themselves as
|
| 13 | | clinical psychologists or as being able to render clinical |
| 14 | | psychological
services as herein defined, and from |
| 15 | | unprofessional
conduct by persons licensed to practice |
| 16 | | clinical psychology. This Act
shall be known and may be cited |
| 17 | | as the "Clinical Psychologist Licensing Act". |
