AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 5373 

2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 5373 on page 2, by 
3inserting immediately below line 5 the following:
4    "(d) Nothing in this Section shall interfere with the 
5review of prescriptions by the Prescription Monitoring 
6Program's Advisory Committee. In reviewing prescriptions for 
7chronic pain, the advisory committee members shall review the 
8most updated clinical guidelines on treating chronic pain for 
9the period the prescriptions were written."; and
 
10on page 3, line 4, by replacing "under" with "."; and
 
11on page 3, by deleting line 5; and
 
12on page 5, line 26, by replacing "prescription" with 
13"prescription"; and
 
14on page 6, by replacing line 1 with the following:

1"record information under Section 316 and former Section 321"; 
2and
 
3on page 8, line 4, by inserting after "warranted." the 
4following:
5"Upon review and approval by a licensed prescriber or 
6dispenser, the Prescription Monitoring Program administrator 
7or the Department's general legal counsel may release 
8information.".
