AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 4595

2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 4595 by replacing 
3everything after the enacting clause with the following:
 
4    "Section 5. The General Not For Profit Corporation Act of 
51986 is amended by adding Section 114.15 as follows:
 
6    (805 ILCS 105/114.15 new)
7    Sec. 114.15. Demographic information of directors and 
8officers.
9    (a) Within 30 days after filing its annual AG990-IL 
10Charitable Organization Annual Report, a corporation that 
11reports grants of $1,000,000 or more to other charitable 
12organizations shall post on its publicly available website, if 
13one exists, the aggregated demographic information of the 
14corporation's directors and officers, including race, 
15ethnicity, gender, disability status, veteran status, sexual 
16orientation, and gender identity. The aggregated demographic

1information shall be accessible on the corporation's publicly 
2available website for at least 3 years after it is posted.
3    (b) The Department of Human Rights shall work with 
4community partners to prepare and publish a standardized list 
5of demographic classifications to be used by corporations for 
6the reporting of the aggregated demographic information of a 
7corporation's directors and officers, including race, 
8ethnicity, gender, disability status, veteran status, sexual 
9orientation, and gender identity. The Department of Human 
10Rights shall periodically review and update the list.
11    (c) In collecting the aggregated demographic information 
12of its directors and officers, a corporation shall allow for 
13an individual to decline to disclose any or all personal 
14demographic information to the corporation.
 
15    Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect January 
161, 2025.".
