Amends the Illinois Vehicle Code. Establishes that an owner of a boat trailer capable of carrying a gross weight between 3,000 to 6,000 pounds shall pay an annual registration fee of $60 to the Secretary of State. Provides for the distribution of collected fees.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The Illinois Vehicle Code is amended by adding |
| 5 | | Section 3-814.5 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (625 ILCS 5/3-814.5 new) |
| 7 | | Sec. 3-814.5. Boat trailer registration. Except as |
| 8 | | provided in Section 3-806.3, an owner of a boat trailer |
| 9 | | capable of carrying a gross weight between 3,000 to 6,000 |
| 10 | | pounds shall pay an annual registration fee of $60 to the |
| 11 | | Secretary of State. Of the fees collected under this Section, |
| 12 | | $1 of the fees shall be deposited into the Secretary of State |
| 13 | | Special Services Fund and $59 of the fees shall be deposited |
| 14 | | into the Road Fund.
