Amends the School Code. Provides that student identification cards shall also provide contact information for the Safe2Help Illinois helpline. Effective July 1, 2023.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The School Code is amended by changing Sections |
| 5 | | 10-20.76 and 34-18.67 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (105 ILCS 5/10-20.76)
|
| 7 | | Sec. 10-20.76. Student identification; suicide prevention |
| 8 | | information; Safe2Help Illinois helpline. Each school district |
| 9 | | shall provide contact information for the National Suicide |
| 10 | | Prevention Lifeline, and for the Crisis Text Line, and the |
| 11 | | Safe2Help Illinois helpline on the back of each student |
| 12 | | identification card issued by the school district. If the |
| 13 | | school district does not issue student identification cards to |
| 14 | | its students or to all of its students, the school district |
| 15 | | must publish this information on its website.
