| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The Freedom of Information Act is amended by |
| 5 | | changing Section 5 as follows:
|

As to public records prepared or received after |
| 8 | | the

date of this Act, each public body shall |
| 9 | | maintain and make available for inspection
and copying a |
| 10 | | reasonably current list of all types or categories of records

| 11 | | under its control. The list shall be reasonably detailed in |
| 12 | | order to aid
persons in obtaining access to public records |
| 13 | | pursuant to this Act. Each
public body shall furnish upon |
| 14 | | request a description of the manner in which
public records |
| 15 | | stored by means of electronic data processing may be obtained |
| 16 | | in a form
comprehensible to persons lacking knowledge of |
| 17 | | computer
language or printout format. |
