| 1 | | AN ACT concerning State government.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The Department of Public Health Powers and |
| 5 | | Duties Law of the
Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is |
| 6 | | amended by adding Section 2310-455 as follows:

| 7 | | (20 ILCS 2310/2310-455 new) |
| 8 | | Sec. 2310-455. Federal funding to support maternal mental |
| 9 | | health. |
| 10 | | (a) The Department shall investigate and apply for federal |
| 11 | | funding opportunities to support maternal mental health, to the |
| 12 | | extent that programs are financed, in whole, by federal funds. |
| 13 | | (b) The Department shall file a report with the General |
| 14 | | Assembly on or before January 1, 2021 of the Department's |
| 15 | | efforts to secure and utilize the federal funding it receives |
| 16 | | from the requirement specified in subsection (a). |
| 17 | | (c) This Section is repealed on January 1, 2022.
