AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 2215 




2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 2215, AS AMENDED,  by 
3replacing everything after the enacting clause with the 
4following:

 
5    "Section 5. The Illinois Fire Protection Training Act is 
6amended  by adding Section 12.7 as follows:
 
7    (50 ILCS 740/12.7 new)
8    Sec. 12.7. History of fire service labor movement. The 
9Office shall distribute via its website or other electronic 
10format an educational program for fire fighters in the history 
11of the fire service labor movement provided by a statewide 
12organization representing professional union fire fighters in 
13the State. In this Section, "fire fighter" means a fire fighter 
14hired under Division 2.1 of Article 10 of the Illinois 
15Municipal Code, under Section 10-1-7.1 of the Illinois 
16Municipal Code, or under Section 16.06b of the Fire Protection

1District Act.  Entities responsible for the training of fire 
2fighters may request that the training program be presented in 
3person by a statewide organization representing professional 
4union fire fighters by contacting the organization.
 

5    Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon 
6becoming law.".
