| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:

| 4 | | Section 5. The Early Intervention Services System Act is |
| 5 | | amended by changing Section 3a as follows:
|

| 7 | | Sec. 3a. Lead poisoning. No later than July 1, 2020 180 |
| 8 | | days after the effective date of this amendatory Act of the |
| 9 | | 101st General Assembly, the lead agency shall adopt rules to |
| 10 | | update 89 Ill. Adm. Code 500.Appendix E by: (i) expanding the |
| 11 | | list of Medical Conditions Resulting in High Probability of |
| 12 | | Developmental Delay to include lead poisoning as a medical |
| 13 | | condition approved by the lead agency for the purposes of this |
| 14 | | Act; and (ii) defining "confirmed blood lead level" and |
| 15 | | "elevated blood lead level" or "EBL" to have the same meanings |
| 16 | | ascribed to those terms by the Department of Public Health in |
| 17 | | 77 Ill. Adm. Code 845.20.
