AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 54 




2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 54 on page 1, line 
314, by inserting after the period the following:
4"No less than 30
days before the issuance of a warrant under 
5this subsection, a
notice shall be mailed to the offender by 
6first class mail to
the most recent address which the offender 
7has provided to the
court. The notice shall contain the 
8following information:
9        (1) the amount of the fine which is due and owing;
10        (2) the docket number of the case in which the fine was

11    assessed;
12        (3) the due date for payment of the fine;
13        (4) instructions as to how payment of the fine may be

14    made;
15        (5) an explanation that intentional refusal to pay the 
16    fine may result in imprisonment; and
17        (6) instructions as to how the offender may request a

18    hearing to present evidence that the offender did not

1    intentionally refuse to pay the fine, and that failure to

2    pay was the result of the offender's inability to pay the 
3    fine.".
