| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The Assisted Living and Shared Housing Act is |
| 5 | | amended by changing Section 145 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (210 ILCS 9/145)
|
| 7 | | Sec. 145. Conversion of facilities. Entities licensed as
|
| 8 | | facilities
under the the Nursing Home Care Act, the Specialized |
| 9 | | Mental Health Rehabilitation Act of 2013, the ID/DD Community |
| 10 | | Care Act, or the MC/DD Act may elect to convert
to a license |
| 11 | | under this Act. Any facility that
chooses to convert, in whole |
| 12 | | or in part, shall follow the requirements in the
Nursing Home |
| 13 | | Care Act, the Specialized Mental Health Rehabilitation Act of |
| 14 | | 2013, the ID/DD Community Care Act, or the MC/DD Act, as |
| 15 | | applicable, and rules promulgated under those Acts regarding |
| 16 | | voluntary
closure and notice to residents. Any conversion of |
| 17 | | existing beds licensed
under the Nursing Home Care Act, the |
| 18 | | Specialized Mental Health Rehabilitation Act of 2013, the ID/DD |
| 19 | | Community Care Act, or the MC/DD Act to licensure under this |
| 20 | | Act is exempt from
review by the Health Facilities and Services |
| 21 | | Review Board.
