| 2 | | WHEREAS, It is highly fitting that we pay honor and respect

| 3 | | to the truly great individuals who have served our country, and
|
| 4 | | in doing so, have gone above and beyond the call of duty to
|
| 5 | | make the ultimate sacrifice for our nation; and
|
| 6 | | WHEREAS, Kerry Michael Bugajsky joined the United States |
| 7 | | Army on January 16, 1967; and
|
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Specialist Fourth Class Bugajsky served as a |
| 9 | | mortar man with C Company, 4th Battalion, 23rd Infantry, 25th |
| 10 | | Infantry Division in the Iron Triangle in Vietnam; and
|
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Specialist Fourth Class Bugajsky died on January |
| 12 | | 19, 1968 when he was hit during heavy mortar fire in the Chu |
| 13 | | Chi area of Vietnam; therefore, be it
|
| 14 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 15 | | NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, THE |
| 16 | | SENATE CONCURRING HEREIN, that we designate the portion of |
| 17 | | Route 14 between Christopher and Benton as the "SP4 Kerry M. |
| 18 | | Bugajsky Memorial Highway"; and be it further
