AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 923 




2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 923 as follows:


 
3on page 39, by replacing lines 3 through 10 with the following:
 
4    "(r) After a municipality or county enacts an ordinance 
5providing for automated traffic law enforcement systems under 
6this Section, each school district within that municipality or 
7county's jurisdiction may implement an automated traffic law 
8enforcement system under this Section.  The elected school board 
9for that district must approve the implementation of an 
10automated traffic law enforcement system.  The  school district 
11shall be responsible for entering into a contract, approved by 
12the elected school board of that district, with vendors for the 
13installation, maintenance, and operation of the automatic 
14traffic law enforcement system. The school district must enter 
15into an intergovernmental agreement, approved by the elected 
16school board of that district, with the municipality or county

1with jurisdiction over that school district for the 
2administration of the automated traffic law enforcement 
3system. The proceeds  from  a school district's automated traffic 
4law enforcement system's fines shall be divided equally between 
5the school district and the municipality or county 
6administering the automated traffic law enforcement system.".
