| 1 | | AN ACT concerning State government.
|
| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The State Fire Marshal Act is amended by adding |
| 5 | | Section 2.3 as follows:
|

| 7 | | Sec. 2.3. Registration of oxygen tanks used for residential |
| 8 | | oxygen therapy; rules. The Office of the State Fire Marshal |
| 9 | | shall adopt a rule requiring, by January 1, 2012, each business |
| 10 | | that sells a tank containing liquid or compressed oxygen to an |
| 11 | | individual for residential oxygen therapy at an address in the |
| 12 | | State to register that address with the fire department or fire |
| 13 | | protection district that provides fire protection service for |
| 14 | | that address.

| 15 | | Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon |
| 16 | | becoming law.
