AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 280

    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 280 on page 1, by

replacing lines 4 through 32 with the following:

    "Section 5. The Illinois Vehicle Code is amended by 
5
changing Section 5-102 as follows:"; and
 
6
by deleting pages 2 through 9; and
 
7
on page 10, by deleting lines 1 through 20; and
 
8
on page 13, line 34, by replacing "pertains." with "pertains;"; 
9
and
 
10
on page 14, immediately below line 11, by inserting the 
11
following:

        "5.5. License fees for dealers that were not in 
13
    business the previous year: $1,000 for the applicant's 
14
    primary place of business and $100 for each additional 
15
    place of business to which the application pertains; but if 
16
    the application is made after June 15 of any year, the 
17
    license fee shall be $500 for the applicant's primary place 
18
    of business and $50 for each additional place of business, 
19
    if any, to which the application pertains.".
