| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened |
| 3 | | to learn of the death of Marvin L. Halstead of Rock Island, who |
| 4 | | passed away on May 6, 2024; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Marvin Halstead was born to Harold and Helen |
| 6 | | (Macomb) Halstead in Brookings, South Dakota on April 16, |
| 7 | | 1935; he served in the U.S. Navy; he married Joyce L. |
| 8 | | Nightingale Carr in Moline on January 17, 2006; and
|
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Marvin Halstead retired from Granger Supply; and
|
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Marvin Halstead enjoyed construction, building, |
| 11 | | dancing, camping, and spending his winters in Arizona; and
|
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Marvin Halstead is survived by his wife; his |
| 13 | | children, Douglas (Deb) Halstead, Tom Schweska, Sue Lang, |
| 14 | | Kevin Halstead, Mike Schweska, and John Schweska; 17 |
| 15 | | grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; four |
| 16 | | great-great-grandchildren; and his sister, Carol (Milo) |
| 17 | | Seibert; therefore, be it
