SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Terry James Dixon of Coal Valley, who passed away on February 23, 2024; and

WHEREAS, Terry Dixon was born in Dixon on March 31, 1953; he served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam; he married Denh Nguyen in Rock Island on November 4, 1972; and

WHEREAS, Terry Dixon was employed at John Deere, where he worked in production and as a forklift driver; and

WHEREAS, Terry Dixon was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Joseph Dixon and Shirley Denning; and

WHEREAS, Terry Dixon is survived by his wife of 51 years, Denh; his sons, Jamie (Jennifer) Dixon and Glen (Connie) Dixon; his grandchildren, Delaney Dixon, Alyssa Dixon, and Cameren Dixon; and his siblings, Mary (Frank) Gale, Linda Hammond, Jacob Madison, and Timothy Dixon; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Terry James Dixon and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Terry Dixon as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
