HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, Citizens of the State owe a tremendous debt of 
3gratitude to the men and women of the Illinois State Toll 
4Highway Authority who selflessly work to aid drivers and keep 
5our roadways safe; every day, these individuals face risks and 
6often put their personal safety on the line to perform their 
7duties; and
  
 
8    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
9Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of David 
10Schwarz, who tragically passed away on September 18, 2017 while 
11clearing debris along the Tri-State Tollway in Alsip; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, David Schwarz joined the Illinois Tollway in 1992 
13and was a dedicated employee for 25 years; he worked as an 
14Equipment Operator Laborer, performing duties that included 
15removing snow, maintaining safe roadway conditions, and, most 
16vitally, assisting drivers who were stranded or needed help; 
17and
  
 
18    WHEREAS, David Schwarz was a respected Tollway employee who 
19will always be remembered for the countless lives he touched; 
20and
  
 
  
21    WHEREAS, David Schwarz was the loving husband of Hope

1(Enzenbacher); the devoted father of Jacob and Zachery; the 
2beloved son of Wilhelm and Ruth Schwarz; and the cherished 
3brother of Heidi Schwarz; therefore, be it
  
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE 
5HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we 
6mourn the passing of David Schwarz and extend our sincere 
7condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved 
8him; and be it further
  
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
10presented to the family of David Schwarz as an expression of 
11our deepest sympathy.
