SECTION 260.2300 FOOD SERVICE


 

Section 260.2300  Food Service

 

a)         All children at the facility shall have a nutrition plan approved by the primary care physician prior to admission.

 

b)         The facility's medical director shall review the nutrition plans weekly.

 

c)         Nutrition consultants shall be made available at the facility as needed.

 

d)         The facility's medical director shall include a nutrition summary in the discharge plan of all children at the facility.

 

e)         If a child refuses the food provided by the caregiver, reasonable and nutritionally appropriate substitutions shall be served.

 

f)         Supplies of staple foods for a minimum of one week and of perishable foods for a minimum of two days shall be maintained on the premises.

 

g)         All food served shall be prepared in accordance with the Department's rules titled Food Service Sanitation Code.
