Section 141.386  Rescue Technician

a)         Prerequisites

1)         Engagement as Illinois fire protection personnel, as attested by the employing fire chief of the candidate seeking certification;

2)         Current certification as Rope Technician;

3)         Current certification as Structural Collapse Technician;

4)         Current certification as Confined Space Technician;

5)         Current certification as Vehicle and Machinery Technician;

6)         Current certification as Trench Technician;

7)         Current certification as Watercraft Technician; and

8)         Application for Certification.

b)         Training documentation shall be maintained in the fire service personnel's training records at the employing fire department.

c)         A qualified instructor for this level must be certified as Fire Service Instructor II and Rescue Technician.
