AN ACT concerning real property.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. Upon payment to the Department of Corrections of the sum equal to the appraised fair market value determined in accordance with Section 10, the Director of such Department, on behalf of the State of Illinois, is authorized to execute and deliver to Will County for the purpose of constructing the Will County Emergency Communications and Command Center on the property a quit claim deed to the following described real property, provided the grantee pays the appraisal, land survey, title and closing costs, to wit:

THAT PART OF THE REAL ESTATE IN THE EAST HALF OF THE EAST HALF OF THE SOUTHWEST QUARTER OF SECTION 29 AND THE WEST HALF OF THE SOUTHEAST QUARTER OF SECTION 29, TOWNSHIP 36 NORTH, RANGE 10 EAST OF THE THIRD PRINCIPAL MERIDIAN, RECORDED AS DOCUMENT NO. 267821, DESCRIBED AS FOLLOWS:

COMMENCING AT THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF THE SOUTHWEST QUARTER OF SAID SECTION 29; THENCE SOUTH 87 DEGREES 57 MINUTES 22 SECONDS WEST 660.18 FEET, TO THE WEST BOUNDARY LINE OF STATEVILLE PENITENTIARY PER DOCUMENT NO. R2000-011742, SAID LINE ALSO BEING THE WEST LINE OF THE EAST HALF OF THE EAST HALF OF SAID SOUTHWEST QUARTER; THENCE NORTH 01 DEGREE 48 MINUTES 55 SECONDS WEST 450.00 FEET, ALONG SAID WEST BOUNDARY LINE TO THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF LAND CONVEYED BY SAID DOCUMENT NO. R2000-011742; THENCE CONTINUING NORTH 01 DEGREE 48 MINUTES 55 SECONDS WEST 600.00 FEET, ALONG THE WEST LINE OF THE EAST HALF OF THE EAST HALF OF SAID SOUTHWEST QUARTER, TO THE INTERSECTION WITH THE NORTH LINE OF THE SOUTH 1050.00 FEET OF SAID SOUTHWEST QUARTER; THENCE NORTH 87 DEGREES 57 MINUTES 22 SECONDS EAST 660.35 FEET, ALONG THE NORTH LINE OF THE SOUTH 1050.00 FEET OF SAID SOUTHWEST QUARTER, TO A POINT ON THE EAST LINE OF SAID SOUTHWEST QUARTER; THENCE NORTH 88 DEGREES 01 MINUTE 13 SECONDS EAST 706.82 FEET, ALONG THE NORTH LINE OF THE SOUTH 1050.00 FEET OF THE SOUTHEAST QUARTER OF SAID SECTION 29, TO THE INTERSECTION WITH A LINE THAT IS 280.00 FEET EAST OF AND PARALLEL WITH THE EAST LINE OF SAID LAND PER DOCUMENT NO. R2000-011742; THENCE SOUTH 01 DEGREE 58 MINUTES 47 SECONDS EAST 1000.00 FEET, TO THE INTERSECTION WITH THE NORTH LINE OF THE SOUTH 50.00 FEET OF SAID SOUTHEAST QUARTER; THENCE SOUTH 88 DEGREES 01 MINUTE 13 SECONDS WEST 280.00 FEET, ALONG SAID NORTH LINE OF THE SOUTH 50.00 FEET THEREOF, TO THE INTERSECTION WITH SAID EAST LINE OF LAND PER DOCUMENT NO. R2000-011742; THENCE NORTH 01 DEGREE 58 MINUTES 47 SECONDS WEST 400.00 FEET, ALONG SAID EAST LINE TO THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF SAID LAND PER DOCUMENT NO. R2000-011742; THENCE SOUTH 87 DEGREES 58 MINUTES 53 SECONDS WEST 1088.89 FEET, ALONG THE NORTH LINE OF SAID LAND PER DOCUMENT NO. R2000-011742 TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING, IN LOCKPORT TOWNSHIP, WILL COUNTY, ILLINOIS.

Section 10. The appraised fair market value of the real property described in Section 5 shall be determined by 3 independent State certified general real estate appraisers whose appraisal reports shall be subject to review and certification by the Department of Corrections. The legal description of such real property shall be subject to review and approval by the Department of Corrections.

Section 15. The payment for the appraisal, land survey, title and closing costs, and the amount of the appraised fair market value of the real property to the Department of Corrections, as provided in Section 5, shall be deposited into the General Revenue Fund.

Section 20. The Director of Corrections shall obtain a certified copy of this Act within 60 days after its effective date and, upon receipt of payment required by Section 5, shall record the certified document in the recorder's office in the county in which the real property is located.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon becoming law.
