    AN ACT concerning insurance.

 
    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
 
represented in the General Assembly:


 
    Section 5. The Illinois Insurance Code is amended  by adding 
Section 155.42 as follows:
 
    (215 ILCS 5/155.42  new)
    Sec. 155.42. Identity theft insurance consumer fact sheet. 
The Department shall develop an appropriate consumer fact sheet 
to be provided to consumers, either via the Department's

website or by hard copy if requested, regarding identity theft 
insurance. The fact sheet shall include at a minimum, 
information on what is generally covered under identity theft 
insurance and on how to protect himself or herself from
