| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 | | Representatives wish to congratulate Lt. Mark Laffrey of the |
| 4 | | Lombard Fire Department on the occasion of his retirement; and
|
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Lt. Laffrey was hired as a firefighter by the |
| 6 | | Lombard Fire Department on March 9, 1998, and he was promoted |
| 7 | | to lieutenant on March 27, 2015; and
|
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Lt. Laffrey was an active member of the Lombard |
| 9 | | Fire Department, serving on its Public Education and HazMat |
| 10 | | teams for many years; he also served as a member of the Honor |
| 11 | | Guard; and
|
| 12 | | WHEREAS, During his career, Lt. Laffrey received numerous |
| 13 | | fire certifications, including his Advanced Fire Officer |
| 14 | | certification through the Illinois State Fire Marshal and his |
| 15 | | Rescue Task Force Instructor certification through the |
| 16 | | Illinois Tactical Officers Association; he also completed the |
| 17 | | Stop the Bleed course through the American College of Surgeons |
| 18 | | Committee on Trauma and the Rescue Task Force course through |
| 19 | | the Beacon Training Group; and
|
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Lt. Laffrey has served the Lombard Fire |
| 21 | | Department and the community of Lombard for the past 26 years; |

| 2 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE |
| 3 | | HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 4 | | we congratulate Lt. Mark Laffrey on the occasion of his |
| 5 | | retirement from the Lombard Fire Department, and we recognize |
| 6 | | his 26 years of dedication and service to the residents of |
| 7 | | Lombard and to the State of Illinois; and be it further
|
| 8 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 9 | | presented to Lt. Laffrey as an expression of our esteem and |
| 10 | | respect. |
