| 1 | SENATE RESOLUTION | ||||||
| 2 | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | ||||||
| 3 | to learn of the death of Phyllis J. Mocabee of Sullivan, who | ||||||
| 4 | passed away on February 11, 2026; and | ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Phyllis Mocabee, the daughter of Charles F. and | ||||||
| 6 | Celia O. Call Mocabee, was born in Lovington on March 19, 1932; | ||||||
| 7 | and | ||||||
| 8 | WHEREAS, Phyllis Mocabee worked at the Illinois Masonic | ||||||
| 9 | Home in Sullivan for six months before working as a machine | ||||||
| 10 | operator for Borg-Warner in Decatur for 36 years; she retired | ||||||
| 11 | as a CRC 1 from the Department of Corrections facility in | ||||||
| 12 | Decatur after ten years of service; and | ||||||
| 13 | WHEREAS, Phyllis Mocabee was a member of the Lovington | ||||||
| 14 | Christian Church and a long-standing member of the Moultrie | ||||||
| 15 | County Republican Women's Club; she was also an avid St. Louis | ||||||
| 16 | Cardinals fan; and | ||||||
| 17 | WHEREAS, Phyllis Mocabee was preceded in death by her | ||||||
| 18 | parents and two sisters; and | ||||||
| 19 | WHEREAS, Phyllis Mocabee is survived by her son, Mike | ||||||
| 20 | McDaniel; her grandson, Brock McDaniel; and her special | ||||||
| |||||||

| 1 | friend, Pauline Rowles; therefore, be it | ||||||
| 2 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FOURTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 3 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | ||||||
| 4 | Phyllis J. Mocabee and extend our sincere condolences to her | ||||||
| 5 | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | ||||||
| 6 | further | ||||||
| 7 | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | ||||||
| 8 | presented to the family of Phyllis Mocabee as an expression of | ||||||
| 9 | our deepest sympathy. | ||||||
